who gave a sensational talk at the launch and a spectacular review of 'Garlic Feast'

The launch was just wonderful, and exceeded all expectations ...I was hugely nervous, expecting everyone to cancel at the last minute!

The launch was held at Fullers Bookshop in Hobart (that has a long history of supporting Tasmanian authors). We expected about 60 guests, but on the night more than 100 passionate garlic lovers attended making for a fabulous evening.  Guests enjoyed a delightful talk by Paul Foreman and John X and a hilarious talk from Koonya garlic rascals (and garlic growers), Rob Rolfe, Geoff Dugan and Graeme Foster.

Guests were also treated to a smorgasbord of delicious garlic-inspired dishes including a divine garlic inspired oyster recipe by Eloise Emmett using Bangor Oysters (thank you Ellie and Bangor!) with a black garlic and parsley vinaigrette. Guests also enjoyed crispy chicken wings with Toum or black garlic aioli, a Tasmanian cheese board with black garlic paste and a garlicky red onion jam, ham hock terrine with garlic pickles and an array of delicious garlic-inspired dips created by Arwen Genge.

Wine also flowed copiously throughout the event making it a hugely convivial evening (thank you Fred at Bream Creek Vineyard for your generosity in donating bottles of your delicious Pinot and Sauvignon Blanc!).

​Altogether a sensational evening!  I feel so blessed to have had so much generosity surrounding the book and so many wonderful contributors involved in the book. Thank you from the bottom of my heart all:-)
